Do we provide plastic bags and how are they used?: We provide plastic bags, however here in Singapore retail stores such as ntuc release schemes such as BYOB (Wednesday), when shoppers bring their own bag, they get 10 cents off their purchase,for the sake of being eco friendly, to decrease the usage of plastic bags. They can be recycled, reused over again to contain other items. They also can be used in craft projects/are for daily usage.

Who are the cashiers (age,nationality) and what kind of service do they provide: The cashiers in my local supermarket are mostly ladies in their mid 50s. they are mostly Singaporeans (Chinese,Malay,Indian)they provide average service. Once in a while we chat with them about their job experience, and most are only here to kill time and  earn money at the same time. Most do not feel "passionate" or a sense of pride for their job as a cashier.

National Museum of Singapore is a 6 minute walk from the Dhoby Ghaut Station.The National Museum of Singapore’s history dates back to 1887,the National Museum of Singapore is the nation’s oldest museum with a progressive mind. Its galleries adopt cutting-edge and multi-perspective ways of presenting history and culture to redefine conventional museum experience.
The National Museum of Singapore is holding the Heritage Fest 2016. It will be good to bring our buddy there since the Singapore HeritageFest 2016 will present the hidden and lesser-known stories about our shared spaces and ways of life. Through immersive programmes such as trails, open houses and performances, the festival will enable Singapore’s diverse communities to share their stories with the public and bring these valuable memories to life in celebration of our vibrant cultural heritage. With these knowledge, he would be able to grasp the aspect of a being multi-racial.
Since the heritage fest showcases different cultures of SG, buddy will know more about  our cultural heritage and diversity in Singapore. Even though we all come from differing ethnic backgrounds,Singaporeans are still able to live together in harmony,and also,since our buddy is from China, he would also be able to learn about how we as Singaporeans,despite the differences in race, still manage to live in harmony.

Little India
Little India is a neighbourhood east of the Singapore River—across from Chinatown, located west of the river—and north of Kampong Glam. Both areas are part of the urban planning area of Rochor. Little India is commonly known as Tekka in the local Tamil community.
Buddy will get to know more about the Indian culture (history,lifestyle,current affairs (Little India riot)) etc
To raise awareness about indian culture as part of a comprehensive tour of preserving cultural heritage.

Tekka Centre
Tekka Centre is a multi-use building complex comprising a wet market, food centre and shops, located in the northern corner of Bukit Timah Road and Serangoon Road, in Little India, Singapore.
Having meals there would further buddy’s knowledge about Indian (food) culture, instead of the regular Chinese foods/fast foods they eat.
To expose them to the exquisite tastes of different Indian hawker centre foods. (spices, cooking methods, consumption methods etc)

Kampong Glam
Kampong Glam is a neighbourhood in Singapore. It is located north of the Singapore River, in the urban planning areas of Kallang and Rochor.
The name of the area is thought to be derived from the cajeput tree, called "gelam" in Malay.
"Kampong" (modern spelling "kampung") simply means "village".
Buddy will get to play traditional Malay games, and eat traditional Malay Snacks,
hence buddy will know more on how to play traditional games of Singapore ,even possibly developing a new hobby
This also increases his overall knowledge of Malay culture (including but not limited to architecturally and different patterns and motifs of buildings/wallpaper,games,food,lifestyle etc ).

Chinatown
Chinatown is a subzone and ethnic enclave located within the Outram district in the Central Area of Singapore. Featuring distinctly Chinese cultural elements, Chinatown has had a historically concentrated ethnic Chinese population.
As the largest ethnic group in Singapore is Chinese, Chinatown is considerably less of an enclave than it once was. However, the precinct does retain significant historical and cultural significance.
Buddy can learn and see (roughly of what structures of historical importance are left) ,what Singapore looked like back then in Chinatown. Buddy will also learn about the Samsui Women,
who made a lot of contributions to Singapore's early development mostly by building houses ,(perseverance, self-discipline)
toiling under the hot sun to provide for their families.
Another point was also
their dressing and functions of their multifunctional special “headgear”,
which was eye-catching, thereby helping to reduce work-related incidences. The headdress also shielded them from the sun and provided a safe and convenient storage for snacks,matches and money etc,hidden above their heads.
Buddy will learn more about the Chinese aspect of Singapore’s history, who frequented Chinatown,
their importance and contributions,
and how these people are significant
(eg. Mr Chia Ann Siang) to our society.
Mr Chia was a wealthy Malacca-born Hokkien Chinese sawmiller who joined Boustead and Company,which after 40 years of service there, he the timber business. He also became a partner of the firm Geok Teat and Company in 1863. After he became a wealthy landowner and one of the leading merchants of his time, he acquired both Ann Siang Hill.and decided to name it after himself.

Singapore Sports Hub is a sports complex located in Kallang, Singapore. It is built on the site of the original National Stadium, for which demolition began on 29 September 2010.[Construction on the Singapore Sports Hub began in 2011, with the foundations lain in February 2011. It opened on 28 June 2014.Stadium MRT station serves the Hub.
Singapore Sports Hub houses many new stadiums and facilities to meet every athlete’s need. Bringing pictures of old sports complexes and stadiums to compare them to the present stadiums will allow the buddy to know how much more emphasis is put on sports now by improving facilities.
Buddy will learn more about how Singapore improved in her sports facilities and providing of suitable venues to hold international events, e.g. SEA Games

It focuses on sports and active recreation, and it is opened to the public to encourage them to embrace sports as a healthy lifestyle. Buddy will learn more about different kinds of sports, even those that he is unfamiliar with,as some sports are uncommon in China.
Buddy will be exposed to the different types of sports in the world and even sports that are uncommon in China. Furthermore, he’ll be able to use these knowledge back in China if he wants to be an athlete.

Xuan Sports is a newly found company that offers a wide range services from the coaching of Wushu (Chinese martial arts), Taiji and Lion/Dragon Dance, to bringing about cultural awareness and appreciation of the art through display performances, to the sales of related equipment including apparels and weapons for the sport. The company is currently a sole proprietorship
The Wushu faculty offers many different types of free trials/lessons, and the buddy will get to learn wushu from professional and certified trainers. Thus the buddy’s knowledge about wushu (basic skills like 马步,弓步 etc) will be greatly increased.
Buddy will get to learn wushu,a popular sport and different basic skills (a balanced mixture of sports,art and self defense.)

Chinese Garden is also commonly known as Jurong Gardens, is a park in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1975 and designed by Prof. Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, the Chinese Garden’s concept is based on Chinese gardening art.
Buddy will get to learn how to play traditional (chapteh, five stones, congkak etc) games through ‘intensive and immersive’ learning at Chinese Garden, along with enjoying with all the greenery and cooling winds of “a green city”.
Buddy will be able to get to know about our traditional games and maybe will even introduce it to his friends back in China.
